Born and raised on the streets of BARRANQUILLA Colombia, DJ Lobelo, AKA Jaime Lobelo, started his musical journey when he was 13, when he was given a musical instrument by his Dad. It was at this moment that jaime Lobelo knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.

He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 2001. In 1992, aged 14, his Mum and Dad bought him his first set of decks. At the age of 22,  he did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major events. In 2001, he achieved his big break when DJ Lobelo realized he was big in the game. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at big events such as CRAZY PERREO and ESTACION EXTREMA, this last his own online radio station.​
